How To Get A Trigger Lock Off

I bought a remington 700 cdl 7mm rem mag today and when i got him i noticed it had a red trigger lock on it. No key hole or anything and its just made out of plastic. To get a trigger lock off yourself that you have lost the key for, you can simply drill out the lock mechanism (where the key goes). A drill press is the best for this. After about 5 minutes of pounding and prying the screwdriver into lock mechanism, the mechanism pretty much just fell apart and i was able to get it off.

Drilling might work, too,. I may be able to remove the trigger group from the gun and drill out the key slot. If this fails, i may be also able to grind off the other side of the lock's cylinder to free the locking.
